THIS LARGE SITE AT THE CENTRE OF THE PRECINCT IS HOME TO A LUXURY RETAIL DEVELOPMENT, POP-UP BOUTIQUES AND A VALET PARKING DROP-OFF POINT.

The south side of the Britomart Central Site is occupied by the Showcase & Central shopping development, whose stores include Curate, Yoobee, and Onitsuka Tiger. North of Te Ara Tāhuhu Walking Street are pop-up stores Kathryn Wilson and Trelise Cooper Boardroom, gourmet sandwich vendor Sarge’s and a drop-off point for Britomart Valet.

The Britomart Central Site has hosted many public events, including sporting events, music festivals, art installations and other cultural and community events. City Farmers’ Market at Britomart, a fresh local produce market, is held every Saturday on the adjacent Gore Street.

The site will eventually be developed with a state-of-the-art mixed-use building on a similar scale to the Ernst & Young and Westpac on Takutai Square complex. The future Britomart Central Building will complete the fourth side of Takutai Square and be seamlessly integrated with the public spaces of the square and walking street Te Ara Tāhuhu.
