THIS SIX-STOREY 1970s BUILDING HAS BEEN REFURBISHED ON AN INTERIM BASIS FOR HIGH-END BOUTIQUE RETAIL.

Occupying a block between Quay and Tyler Street, the Seafarers Building is currently home along its Tyler Street frontage to several fashion boutiques. Flagship stores for Zambesi, Kate Sylvester and WORLD sit alongside Havaianas footwear retailer The Concept Store. The upper floors have been refurbished for leasing as boutique office space.

The Seafarers Building takes its name from the Mission to Seafarers, which has a long association with the building. The first floor is still home to the Auckland International Seafarers’ Centre.

The Seafarers Building will eventually be replaced with a beautiful new building. Read more about the planned long-term development of the site
