Curate is like a micro designer department store, offering a fantastic array of New Zealand’s best fashion labels in a single destination. Then again, it’s like an art gallery: a striking monochrome showcase for beautiful objects, expertly curated into a unique aesthetic experience.

Against this cultivated backdrop, the creativity of New Zealand’s top fashion talent is laid out for your pleasure. Heroes of New Zealand Fashion Week runways like Cybèle, Sabatini, Salasai and Stolen Girlfriends Club sit alongside emerging designers like Blak, Jade Smythe and Neverblack.

As well as clothing for women and men, there are shoes by Chaos & Harmony, jewellery by Bird of Prey and handbags by Saben and Charlie Horse. Around 20 designers in total are on show, including pieces and collections exclusive to Curate and special one-off items.

Fashion industry heavyweights

Within the Curate store, each label has its own exclusive space to present the pick of its designs. Designers are encouraged to show the items they love best from their own collections and that best capture their inspiration for the season.

Curate is the brainchild of fashionistas and industry mentors Paul and Jill Blomfield, the team behind Blomfield Showroom and the Designer Garage Sale. Jill has a high profile in the fashion and design industries, formerly holding roles as Executive Director of the Designers Institute and in well-known retail design houses. Paul was previously publisher of fashion magazines Apparel and Pulp and is the present Chairman of Fashion Industry New Zealand.
