New Zealand’s best-known fitness club chain, Les Mills, has confirmed it will develop a new concept gym in the large building now under construction on the corner of Quay Street and Britomart Place.

Les Mills New Zealand, which currently has 10 popular clubs nationwide, has signed a 20-year lease for 2000m² of space in the building being constructed on the site of the former Oriental Markets.

The new building, which is scheduled for completion in April 2011, will house 1250 car parks to service the tenants of the heritage and large new mixed-use buildings under development at Britomart. This large-scale parking facility will provide high-end parking services, including valet parking, to members of the public as well as Britomart tenants.
