Tempo 09, New Zealand’s Festival of Dance
Tempo 09 leaps into action on Saturday 26 September with the Opening Day Festivities at Britomart Carpark (cnr Galway and Gore Sts). Beginning at 1:45pm, the festivities kick off with a FREE outdoor salsa lesson from The Cuban Groove’s Vivio & Greydis, followed by a FREE outdoor Les Mills BodyJam class by the charismatic Gandalf Archer. Spot prizes to be given to the best-dressed and most enthusiastic participants!
Tempo 09, New Zealand’s Festival of Dance features almost 100 performances, forums, workshops and events in a vast array of styles, including contemporary dance, ballet, hip hop and urban dance, Pacific dance, tap, jazz, Bollywood, burlesque, cabaret, dance theatre and dance on screen.
