Generator is an innovative business members’ club, offering working, meeting and socialising facilities for corporates, creatives and entrepreneurs.

Don’t think boring business centre, though. Think groovy interior design, sumptuous lounge spaces, harbour views, a buzzing bar area and lots of quirky design detail. The decor is 1950s meets 1850s, blended with the work of New Zealand designers and artists to create something contemporary and highly unique.

Understanding that the best business is often done outside the formal constraints of the office, the Generator team have designed a range of comfortable, beautiful spaces for networking, socialising and relaxing.

It’s not all about leisure, though – there are also fully equipped meeting and work spaces with all the IT and AV capability a seminar group or pitch presenter could want.

Private functions large and small

All Generator’s facilities are available for use on a casual or long-term membership basis, and are often available to non-members for private function hire.

Each space has its own character, from the plush comfort of the Lounge and the quiet elegance of the Library to the bright vibrancy of the Square. There’s a boardroom, a selection of large and small meeting  rooms and a spacious reception foyer suitable for cocktail-style functions.

Events of all sizes can be accommodated, from small team away days to fully catered functions for 100. Uses range from seminars, market research and team building exercises to product launches and special events – even art exhibitions on a short- or medium-term basis.
