The connected ground floors of Australis House and the Nathan Building, formerly the home of Living & Giving-Urban Loft, have now been made available for hire as private venue space.

Refurbishment of the two buildings is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2012, and will be a full-scale heritage redevelopment like that of Stanbeth House and Excelsior House.

Until then, the two large open-plan spaces will be available to hire as a function venue, either separately or together as one venue large enough to accommodate 400 people.

Venue for World Cup hosting

During September and October 2011, Australis-Nathan will host a number of special exhibitions as part of the REAL New Zealand Festival, a nationwide celebration of arts, culture and entertainment held in conjunction with the Rugby World Cup.

The Australis-Nathan venue will still be available to hire during the World Cup period, however, with functions able to be hosted in the exhibition areas.

Exhibitions include the World Press Photo Exhibition, showcasing the winners of the prestigious annual press photography competition.

Outside the World Cup period, Australis-Nathan will be available as a ‘blank canvas’ venue, with free scope for lighting and dressing the space as required.
