Beer, Barmaids und Bratwurst: Oktoberfest at Brew on Quay

Beer, Barmaids und Bratwurst: Oktoberfest at Brew on Quay
It’s time to dust off those lederhosen, men, and girls, hoist yourselves into your best wench blouses. Brew on Quay is gearing up for its annual Oktoberfest celebration, which this year falls on the weekend of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October.
In keeping with venerable Oktoberfest tradition, there’ll be German folk music, fetchingly-dressed bar staff slinging around steins of Bavarian lager and generous helpings of pork.
Festivities kick off at 1pm on Saturday and continue all weekend. Being Brew on Quay, it’s all about the beer, with official Munich Octoberfest beer Hofbräu (HB) on tap – one-litre steins for a cool $23.
There’ll also be a very special menu of bratwurst and roast pork with dumplings to sustain you and an oompah band playing from 3pm Saturday and 5pm Sunday.
Brew on Quay will also be showing all the Rugby World Cup games live over the weekend – it’s just a pity the German rugby team didn’t qualify.
