Our mission is to improve the lives of New Zealanders. We do this by delivering world-class fitness experiences every day in our world-class gym.

WHAT FILLS YOUR DAY?
We’re working hard to get the club ready for a mid-April opening, somy days are filled with staff recruiting, operations planning, member queries and meetings. I’m looking forward to opening so my days can include meeting new members and making sure their experiences are great.

A bustling centre where people of all ages come from near and far to immerse themselves in the fresh new CBD atmosphere and experiences.

WHO ELSE DO YOU WISH WOULD DISCOVER BRITOMART?
I wish everyone would discover Britomart. I believe the energy of the growing area will be infectious and will inject new life into the CBD.

WHAT’S THE ONE THING THAT MAKES YOU WANT TO COME TO WORK IN THE MORNING?
The people. I love the culture of our company and the people in it. And equal to the people I work with are the people I work for – our members.

ARE YOU THE COOK OR THE KITCHEN HAND?
Well… sadly in my 20s my best friend was a microwave, but in an effort to master proper nutrition for my 30s I’ve ditched it and have been making valiant attempts at becoming the next top chef in my household.

WHAT TAKES UP MOST OF YOUR TIME WHEN YOU ARE NOT AT BRITOMART?
I’m a sport and fitness fanatic and love all sorts of activities, including running and biking. I also teach group fitness classes and train instructors on how to teach our programmes.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN NZ?
This entire country blows me away, it’s the most beautiful place on earth. But I have a special place in my heart for Piha, it never fails to humble me.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ITEM OF CLOTHING?
Honestly, my pyjamas. I love bed time! At the end of a long day there’s nothing like coming home and immediately getting into my favourite PJs!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY THRASHING?

THE COOLEST THING I EVER BOUGHT:
A trampoline when I was 12. I wanted a trampoline badly but my mother felt they were dangerous so she said I could only get one if I saved up the $300 on my own… Within two months I’d managed to round up the money. She reluctantly drove me to the store and I smiled the whole way.

THE BOLDEST THING I EVER DID:
Moved to New Zealand. At 28 I resigned from a national director position in a large US gym chain. Pretty much shocked everyone. Two weeks later me and my two suitcases boarded a plane to NZ and I never looked back.

WHO HAS SOUL:
Oh man, lots of people! All the people I admire are people with soul.
