In July and August this year, over 5000 people voted in Big Little City’s inaugural Auckland Restaurant Month People’s Choice Award.

Contemporary Japanese restaurant Ebisu emerged the overall winner of the People’s Choice Restaurant category, as well as winning the ‘Best Food’ and ‘Best Food’ categories.

Located in the Union Fish Company Building on Tyler Street, Ebisu has been highly acclaimed by food critics and diners alike since its opening in March 2011.

Ebisu offers a sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese izakaya style of informal drinking and dining, specialising in fine fresh sushi and seafood as well as modern Japanese cooking. It is also a lively cocktail bar, with DJs playing till late at weekends.
