NZ's First Ted Baker Store Opening August

UK designer clothing label Ted Baker London is to open its first-ever New Zealand store at Britomart in early August.

The men’s and women’s high-fashion brand is known for its classically British styling and quirky detailing, which includes subtle embroidered touches, contrasting trims and hidden messages.

The company was launched in 1987 in Glasgow as a tailored shirt specialist, which quickly gained a reputation for quality, attention to detail – and personality.

With no budget for traditional advertising, founder Ray Kelvin focused on building his fledgling fashion label through offbeat marketing tactics and word of mouth.

The early stores offered a laundry service with every shirt purchased, supporting the brand’s rapidly growing reputation as ‘no ordinary designer label’.

The brand today continues to be driven by ‘Ted’s’ personality, expressed in all aspects of design and marketing, from the fashion collections themselves to the witty store fitouts.

Now open in 16 countries around the world, Ted Baker stores feature luxurious interiors full of playful touches that invite engagement and exploration.

Recruitment is currently underway for the Britomart Ted Baker store, for a range of roles including store manager, assistant manager, supervisor and full-time and casual sales assistants. Enquiries can be emailed to ted@tedbaker.com.au.
