One of New Zealand’s most renowned hair salons, Ryder, has confirmed it will open its new studio at Britomart in late May. Ryder is relocating its long-established Bowen Ave studio to Charter House on Customs Street East.

“After more than 12 years in our lovely space atop the hill, we feel it is time to move on, so we are leaving to set up a new home down in this vibrant and rapidly developing precinct,” says Greg Murrell, founder and creative force behind Ryder.

“We are really looking forward to creating a brand new salon alongside Britomart’s great retail shopping, cafes and restaurants, and to being part of a community that has a lot going on.”

Greg is well-known for his extensive portfolio of editorial photography and fashion show work, including a long-standing creative relationship with Zambesi. The iconic fashion label is also relocating its flagship High Street store to Britomart in March.

Greg will continue his catwalk collaboration with Zambesi for The Fashion Collection at Britomart, to be held at Atrium on Takutai on Saturday 3 March.

Ryder will do the hair styling for all four of these free New Zealand Fashion Festival shows, which will include shows from Zambesi, Kate Sylvester, WORLD, Kathryn Wilson and other Britomart boutiques.
